Self Guided Climbing Adventures
If you are an avid cyclist looking for a challenge of a lifetime, look no further. Our Self Guided Climbing Adventures are for cyclists who want to conquer the big climbs of France: Alpes, Provence, & Pyrenees cycling tours.
We have three outstanding and proven options which treat you to many of our favorite hotels. Alpe d’Huez, Tourmelet, Galibier, Ventoux, and Aubisque are all names you can cross off your list. And you can do it all at your own pace, not the pace of others.
These tours are excellent for cyclists who either can’t make the big summer guided tours or would prefer to be in a smaller, quieter group. Also, the bigger crowds during July may not be your thing. These tours are also great for groups of friends, cycling clubs, and families. Just give us the start date and we’ll take it from there! Each of the three Climbing Adventures are customizable, just ask us for changes! We are known for our customizations, so please don’t be shy. We can change the length, level of accommodations, number of meals included, and more. In fact, one of our customizations for one client was to combine all three of our Climbing Adventure tours back to back!

Being “self guided” doesn’t mean that you have more work to do. We still take care of everything, but without a guide present at all times.
What is included:
- All hotel accommodations – mostly 3 star
- Luggage transfers
- Meals as explained in the tour detail pages. Usually this means all breakfasts, no lunches, and some dinners.
- Detailed route notes, maps, and tourist information
What is not included:
- Transportation to and from the start and finish locations
- Bikes, but ask if you need a bike rental.
- Travel and Health Insurance
- Admission to site-seeing venues, unless explicitly mentioned as included
Discounts:
The more the merrier. If you have a group, you can take advantage of the below discounts. Take the quoted price on the tour you desire and we can apply the discount to either the tour leader or prorate it across the group.
- Recruit 15 guests for a trip, the 16th is FREE!
- Recruit 11 guests for a trip, the 12th is 75% OFF!
- Recruit 7 guests for a trip, the 8th is 50% OFF!
- Recruit 5-6 guests for a trip and everyone receives 5% off!
